Ben Hunsicker

With nearly 30 years in the foundry industry, Ben has dedicated the last decade of his career to Allied Mineral Products. A 1997 graduate of the Kent State University Foundry Program, Ben gained hands-on experience early on, working full-time at a Cleveland-area bronze foundry while completing his degree.

In his current role, Ben supports customers and sales representatives with product selection and provides technical expertise on melting operations. Before joining Allied Mineral Products, he worked extensively on commissioning induction equipment, resolving refractory challenges, training melting department teams, and developing processes for metal recovery from waste materials. His career has taken him to foundries across Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Michigan.

Ben is deeply committed to foundry education, contributing to local AFS (American Foundry Society) chapters, ASM Materials camps for students and teachers, and local schools. He has served on the FEF (Foundry Educational Foundation) board since 2018, recently joined…
